SIRIUS
“Nickname”
Sirius was born to his momma Nova on 5/16/24, in the midst of a chaotic, overrun farm. Following the owner’s demise, stallions were running loose and breeding was rampant, and finally, official help stepped in. Sirius, Nova, and another young mare joined Rosemary Farm as part of a rescue effort, when the colt was just one month old, mid-June 2024.
Sirius is likely a purebred, but unregistered, Quarter Horse and is just perfection, with his wide blaze and symmetrical socks, and amazing moves. He is engaging with humans, has his basic manners in place, and is growing now, healthy and loved.
Like all young horses at the Sanctuary, Sirius is available for adoption to an approved home. There is extra care taken in placing babies, to be sure the home understands proper care, but there really is nothing like raising a baby horse.
Until then, Sirius is bringing joy to all here at the Sanctuary. If you want to follow along and support his growth, sponsor Sirius with a monthly donation today!
